Our   Story

The accountant who turned into an escapologist. This is Dave Diamond. Dave qualified as an accountant in 1987, he was also an ultra distance runner, racing over distances of over a 100 miles. With his running career coming to end through injuries, he decided one bizarre Saturday afternoon to learn to eat fire. Having enjoyed this and attending monthly fire jams, people were encouraging him to perform. Which at this stage he had no interest. Instead he went on a circus skills shop, this was where for the first time he was placed in a straitjacket. The rest is history as they say.

How did it start

The Escapes

Dave Diamond started performing when challenged by a performer to go out there and do it. Having been hesitant at first he gave in and said OK, I will do one street show and if I don't like I that will be it. He has never looked back.
Dave's background is escapology, he performs two meaning full escapes, the water torture cell escape in full view of the audience and a chain escape from a burning rope.

His street show is built around a straightjacket escape and chains. The straitjacket is real and he is one of the few people in the world who can escape with three restraint loops over the arms restricting any movement.

Other escapes include rope ties, ratchet straps and prisoner belts
